JOB Jambi Merang starts supplying gas to power plant in Tanjung Jabung Barat

The gas supply started on Wednesday evening at the rate of 0.01 mmscfd but gradually the volume will be increased to a maximum of 5 mmscfd , SKK Migas?s spokesperson Rudianto Rimbono said, adding the gas supply was able to generate 8 MW of power.
The power plant is owned by Perusahaan Daerah Pertambangan dan Energi (PDPDE), a firm owned by the South Sumatra provincial administration.
SKK Migas? Chairman Amien Sunaryadi issued Seller Appointment Letter (SAL) for JOB Jambi Merang on Nov. 27. 2014.
According to the regency?s data, electrification ratio of the regency now stands at 42 percent. Four districts had no access to electricity, namely Tebing Tinggi, Renah Mendalo, Sebarang Kota and Kuala Betara. The PLTMG Purwodadi is expected to supply power to Tebing Tinggi, Tungkal Ulu, Batang Asam, Merlung, Renah Mendalo and Muara Papalik districts.
