JOB Pertamina-Indelberg drills six more oil wells in S. Sumatra

JOB Pertamina-Indelberg officially began Monday the drilling of two oil wells, part of six oil wells to be drilled at the company's concession area in Muara Enim regency, South Sumatra, Palembang Pos reported Tuesday.

The commencement of the drilling works of the two oil wells located in the Talang Ubi sub-district was carried out in a ceremony which was also attended by senior officials of the local administration and some prominent members of the regency's legislative council.

Jaswadi, the general manager of JOB Pertamina-Indelberg, said that the two wells, BDA and BDA 3, were part of the company's target to drill six more oil wells this year. "We hope the drilling would produce a good result," he said.

According to him, the BDA well would be drilled at the depth of 1,400 feet, while the BDA 3 well would be drilled at the depth of 1,330 feet.

At present, JOB Pertamina-Indelberg produces about 2,500 barrels per day, or a half of about 5,000 barrels per day targeted by Pertamina. (*)
