JOB Pertamina-Petrochina plans to drill four wells in Salawati block

Joint operating body PT Pertamina Hulu Energi Salawati-Petrochina Salawati Papua plans to drill four wells including two onshore and two offshore in the period of August, September, and December of this year in Salawati block in Papua.

JOB PHE-Petrochina Salawati is currently seeking to obtain the necessary permit from the Ministry of Forestry to carry out drilling of two onshore exploration wells.

The company is also still waiting for the Bohai-8 rig from the West Madura Offshore block in East Java for the offshore drilling work, said Operational Director of PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE), Edi Purnomo to Petromindo.com Monday.

Edi said that the onshore drilling work is scheduled for end of this year, while offshore drilling is expected in August-September. ?Production in Salawati currently stands at 1,600 bopd,? Edi said.
