Joint operating body PT Pertamina Hulu Energi-PT Bumi Siak Pusako (JOB PHE-BSP), which operates the Coastal Plain Pekanbaru (CPP) block in Riau Province, said that oil production as per end of August this year has slightly exceeded this year?s target.
General Manager of JOB PHE-BSP, Susanto Budi Nugroho said on Monday that production at the end of August stood at 11,196 bopd, or 1 percent higher than target.
?With a 50:50 split, PEH?s portion of the production is 5,958 bopd,? Susanto said.
He added that most of the production came from five existing fields including Zamrud (3,000 bopd), Pedada (2,600 bopd), Beruk 1,200 bopd), Benua (1,050 bopd), and Pusaka (700 bpd).
Susanto said that the solid production came although the fields have been suffering from natural declining production rate as the previous contractor had conducted comingle completion of wells at the reservoir zones.
He said that various measures have been taken by the company to help resolve the production declining trend from maintain run life at existing wells to pump optimization, and from replacing of artificial lift system with hydraulic pumping unit to work over program.
JOB PHE-BSP has operated the CPP block since 2002.
