JOB PPEJ exceeds production target

Joint Operating Body (JOB) Pertamina-Petrochina East Java (JOB PPEJ), operator of the Tuban block in East Java Province, has since April managed to exceed this year?s average oil production target.

General Manager of JOB PPEJ, Akbar Syah, said in a statement obtained Saturday that as per May 26, production at the Sukowati field stood at 10,500-10,800 bopd, while production at Mudi field at 1,100-1,200 bopd, or six percent higher than target.

He expected the production rates can be maintained until the end of this year.

PT Pertamina Hulu Energi owns 75 percent of JOB PPEJ, while partner PetroChina East Java holds the remaining 25 percent. The Tuban block contract is set to expire in February 2018.
