JOB PPEJ finds indication of hydrocarbon at Sumber-1 well

Joint operation body PT Pertamina-Petrochina East Java (PPEJ) has found indication of hydrocarbon following drill stem test-1 at the Sumber-1 exploration well in the Tuban block, East Java.
?The flow rates, however, have yet to be conclusive. (Further) test is in progress, which we could not inform (in details). There are to more zones to be tested,? General Manager of PPEJ, Eddy Fritz told Petromindo.com Friday.
Eddy added, that further drilling programs will depend on the final results of drilling at the Sumber-1 well.
The Sumber#1 well is expected to provide additional oil reserves of about 9.5 million barrels. PPEJ has set production target for this year at 40,000 bopd.
