Jobi appointed as new PGN president director

Shareholders of IDX-listed gas distribution company PT PGN Tbk appointed on Thursday Jobi Triananda Hasjim as the company?s new President Director as part of a management reshuffle.
The decision was made during an annual shareholders meeting of the state-controlled company. Jobi replaces Hendi Prio Santoso, who had assumed the post since June 13, 2008.
Jobi, who currently serves as President Director state-owned engineering and construction firm PT Rekayasa Industri (Rekind), had previously assumed a director post at PGN, said Director General of Oil and Gas at Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources IGN Wiratmaja Pudja, who is also a member of the company?s board of commissioners.
This portal reported on Thursday, quoting a source that Pertamina Director Yenni Handayani was seen as a strong candidate for the new boss of PGN.
As part of the reshuffle, two PGN directors were also dismissed including M. Wahid Sutopo and Hendi Kusnadi. Gigih Prakoso was appointed as the new Director of Strategy and Business Development, and Desima Equalita Siahaan as the new Director of Human Reources and General Affairs.
There was also replacement in the PGN board of commissioners, where Tirta Hidayat was replaced by Hendrika Nara Oslaid.
