Jokowi scheduled to inaugurate Tenayan Raya coal-fired power plant

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is scheduled to inaugurate the operation of the 2x110 MW Tenayan Raya coal-fired power plant in Pekanbaru, Riau Province, during the upcoming December 8-10 visit to the province, local news portal riauonline.co.id reported.
The news portal quoted Riau Province Administration Secretary Ahmad Hijzazi as saying over the weekend that the Tenayan Raya power plant will increase power supply in the province, which has often suffered from blackouts.
He added that state-owned electricity firm PT PLN is currently developing new transmission lines in the province. (*)
