ASX-listed Orpheus Energy Limited announced its resource statement in accordance with the JORC Code of 3.45 million tons at its 51% owned Kintap ADK (Alam Duta Kalimantan) mining project in South Kalimantan.

The company said that the JORC resource was based on 24 exploration core holes undertaken by Orpheus Energy, in addition to 29 historical exploration holes, drilled in the near past, over the existing mining area of approximately 100 hectares.

?Orpheus is pleased to report our initial JORC resource at our ADK project. The ADK project is currently producing with favourable mining properties and has existing infrastructure in place, thus the resource report confirming our tonnage for entering into longer-term offtake agreements with end-users for the next five years, is particularly encouraging,? said Executive Chairman Wayne Mitchell

?Orpheus is focussed on increasing its production profile in the South Kalimantan area and the company intends to grow its capacity out of this area through progressively proving up resources as the projects are developed?, he said.

Based on the Banjarmasin geology map sheet, the ADK concession area is dominated by the Dahor Formation (TQd) and the southern coal seams are under Quartemary Alluvials (Qa).
