Jorong Barutama Greston plans to up coal output

Coal mining company PT Jorong Barutama Greston, a unit of Thailand?s Banpu Plc., plans to increase its production to six million tons per year from the current 3-4 million tons level, according to a source at South Kalimantan mining office.

Jorong operates a 14,000 ha coal mining site at Pelaihari area in Tanah Laut regency, South Kalimantan.

The company is currently completing its environmental impact assessment for the expansion plan, the source said.(Amoros)
