Jorong to resume full ops in 2 weeks

IDX-listed coal mining group PT Indo Tambangraya Megah Tbk (ITM) reported on Friday that its South Kalimantan coal mine subsidiary PT Jorong Barutama Greston would resume operations as it has obtained the extension of the land usage permit (Izin Pinjam Pakai) from the Ministry of Forestry.

The Company said t would take two weeks to fully operate as the mining area needed to be restored to the previous normal condition while the current idle equipments have to be re-functioned.

Police has shut down Jorong?s operation for six months now. In 2009, Jorong produced a little below 3 million tonnes of coal, sold to domestic and export market.

ITM is a unit of Thai energy conglomerate Banpu PCL. (alex)
