JSW Group plans stable production of over 2 million tons per year

India-based company JSW Group targets to stabilize its coal production at a level of over 2 million tons per annum from its concessions in Kalimantan.

Biswadip Gupta, Managing Director & CEO Bengal Steel Limited, a subsidiary of JSW Group told Petromindo.com in Singapore that the company has two concessions in Kalimantan with coal CV of above 6,000 Kcal/kg.

The company has been in operation for about three years now. "We are doing production around 2.3 million ton per year. The actual mine capacity is much higher than that," he said without elaborating on the exact location of its concession.

JSW Group is one of the fastest growing business conglomerates with a strong presence in core economic sector. The enterprise has grown from a steel rolling mill in 1982 to a multi business conglomerate worth US$9 billion within a short span of time. JSW Group has diversified interests in Steel, Energy, Minerals and Mining, Aluminium, Infrastructure and Logistics, Cement and Information.
