Kaltim Post reported on Monday that the sender of the letter also threatened the management that it could receive acts of violence if it did not change the requirement in the company’s labor tender.
The anonymous letter said a requirement that bidders must have working experience of at least two years to join the auction was exclusively made to enable certain companies including CV RB, PT CUB and CV HE to win the auction.
The local chapter of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce (Kadin) also questioned the procedure of the oil company’s auction. In a letter sent to the local Total E&P office, Kadin said that the requirement in the tender should be transparent and should not be made to favor certain parties.
Bidders of the tender should, for example, had a working experience of at least 10 years, Kadin said. In its letter, Kadin also attached the anonymous letter and urged the oil company’s management also pay a serious attention on it. (*)
