KAL Energy announces JORC compliant coal resource at E. Kalimantan concession

NASDAQ OTTCB-listed junior mining firm KAL Energy, Inc. announced on Tuesday it has now inferred resource of 204 million tonnes of coal in its East Kalimantan coal concession.

The company said JORC Code Compliant Resource Statement report exceeded previous geological estimate by 12 million tonnes.

According to the company the report also confirmed of the coal quality being very low sulphur and low ash, with primary thick seam expressing at surface through large areas of the block.

The report also reported discovery of additional seams, yet to be quantified.

The report was published based on the US$2 million Phase 1 Exploration program on the company?s tenement.

The company said it was now shifting our focus from the exploration to the development of the resource.

KAL Energy, Inc. has rights to two coal concessions situated near the Mahakam River in North Eastern Kalimantan.(alex)
