Kalila prepares AMDAL for Korinci-Baru block development

In a notice published on Suara Karya daily on Saturday, Kalila appealed the public to give suggestions and inputs for the formulation of the AMDAL document.
Kalila said that the AMDAL document is necessary to allow the company develop the Baru, Korinci, Perak, Segat, and Bentu gas fields which are located in the block.
The company expected it would be able to produce about 20 million standard cubic feet (MMSCF) of gas per day from the block during the early years of the gas field operation. The gas production would be gradually increased to about 80 million MMSCF per day, and oil condensate of about 100 barrels per day.
The gas to be produced from the gas fields would be transmitted to PLN?s power plant in Teluk Lembur, Pekanbaru through a 100-km pipeline, while the condensate will be sent to nearby crude oil processing facilities.
When contacted by Petromindo.Com on Monday, the company's general affairs and finance manager Suhartoyo declined to give details. (*)
