Kalimantan Gold appoints new CFO

Calgary-based gold miner Kalimantan Gold Corporation Limited announced on Tuesday the appointment of Len Goldsmith as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to replace Doris Meyer, effective from Oct. 1, 2013.

Goldsmith is a Certified General Accountant and Accredited Chartered Certified Accountant (UK) and was previously the Controller for the company since 2011. He has over 25 years experience, much of which has been in the mineral exploration sector, and also including roles as Chief Financial Officer, Canada Revenue Agency auditor, public practice accountant, manager of budgets and analysis, and accounting services manager, the firm said in a statement.

Meanwhile, Meyer has served in this role with the company since 1997. She will remain as a Director and as Corporate Secretary.

Kalimantan Gold Corporation Limited is a mining junior, focused on exploring its copper and gold prospects in Kalimantan. The company has two exploration projects in Kalimantan: the Jelai epithermal gold project in East Kalimantan and the KSK Contract of Work in Central Kalimantan with potential for multiple porphyry copper and gold prospects.
