Tuesday, April 27 2004 - 12:00 AM WIB
Connelly is now the executive chairman and will remain active in management and as a director of the company.
Meyer has been involved with the company since 1997 initially as corporate secretary, then chief financial officer, and becoming a director in 2000.
Meanwhile, the company also said that exploration at Baroi in Central Kalimantan for the next three months will focus on the extended eastern area of the Far Eastern Zone (FEZ). On April 17, the company's scout rig began drilling the first of six 80-meter holes into the high-grade zones and geological targets. A concurrent Induced Polarization and ground magnetic survey over the entire expanded FEZ, an area of 2,200 by 700 meters, is being done to provide additional vectoring data to assist in defining drill targets for the 300 meter hole program which will resume upon completion of the survey.
In addition to ongoing drilling at Baroi, and following a board of directors meeting in Palangkaraya, Kalimantan held April 13 to 15, 2004, the company has selected several specific target areas for acquisition and has taken the initial steps to accomplish that. A geologist with skills relevant to the geographic area and with particular expertise in porphyry copper/gold deposits will be contracted shortly. Further staff appointments will be made in Palangkaraya in the near future reflecting the considerable increase in field activity that is now underway.
The FEZ is within the Baroi prospect which is within the Company's 75% owned 6th generation Contract of Work covering an area of 129,200 hectares located in Central Kalimantan.(alex)
