Kalimantan Gold names new director

Calgary-based firm Kalimantan Gold Corporation Limited (KLG) announced on Thursday that it has appointed Peter John Pollard as Chairman of the Board and as a Director.
Pollard, who is aged 60, has consulted widely on porphyry copper-gold and iron oxide copper-gold deposits.
He has worked on some of the world's major porphyry copper-gold deposits including Grasberg (Indonesia), Escondida Norte (Chile) and Oyu Tolgoi (Mongolia). In addition, he has consulted on porphyry exploration programs in Australia, China, Indonesia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Peru, U.S.A. and Vietnam.
Pollard is a consulting economic geologist with more than 20 years' experience and has been a technical advisor to the Company and the Company's Qualified Person for the purposes of signing off on NI 43-101 technical data for the past several years. As a result he is intimately familiar with the Company and its projects. He holds a PhD from James Cook University, Australia, and is a Member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and a Fellow of the Society of Economic Geologists.
Prior to his appointment, Pollard owned 49,052 common shares and had 150,000 stock options in the Company. Dr. Pollard's status is as an independent director.
Pollard is currently also a director of Pollard Geological Services Pty Ltd, Hunter Bay Minerals Inc., G4G Resources Ltd and Mind2Market Pty Ltd. He was previously a director of Journey Resources Ltd.
