Poso Energi operates three hydro power plants including Poso I (current capacity 60 MW), Poso II (195 MW), and Poso III (320 MW).
The company plans to expand the capacity of Poso I, Poso II, and Poso III respectively by 120 MW, 180 MW, and 340 MW, the paper said quoting Asri Syahrir, a manager at the group, which is controlled by the family of Vice President Jusuf Kalla.
Poso Energi will focus first on the expansion of the Poso II plant, hopefully to start in 2015, as it?s faster to complete. The expansion of the Poso I plant would take about three years to complete. Meanwhile, the Poso III expansion project is a long-term plan. (*)
