Kalla Group to build interconnection network in North Morowali

The well-diversified Kalla Group is set to develop a high voltage interconnection network linking Poso and Mohoni in North Morowali Regency, Central Sulawesi.

?The interconnection network will have a length of 135 km and number of towers of 300,? said Acting North Morowali Regent Abdul Haris Renggah on Friday as quoted by Kontan.co.id.

He added that the Kalla Group, owned by the family of Vice President Jusuf Kalla, had met with the provincial administration to express the group?s plan and commitment.

Haris said that construction of the 270 kVA interconnection network is expected to start in 2016, to be completed in two years. Total investment requirement is estimated at around US$60 million.

Kalla Group is currently developing the PLTA Poso hydro power plant with total planned capacity of 600 MW. (*)
