The plant is now continuing to improve production rates and product quality of the upgraded coal, it said.
The plant is currently producing upgraded coal with an energy content of approximately 5,800 kcal/kg from the target of 6,100+ kcal/kg, with the emphasis now on improving the robustness of the product for handling purposes.
?Coal injection system now proven to be operable above key 50% threshold ? the objective is to now sustain production above this rate. Dust issue has been partially improved through installation of temporary screening systems but further improvement is required to maximize product quality,? it said.
Production runs have recently increased to 6 days x 24 hours - now moving to longer production runs, it added.
