Kampung Minyak well drilling completed

Singapore-listed energy firm Mirach Energy announced that its subsidiary, PT Kampung Minyak, and partner PT Daqing Jaya Petroleum Engineering, has completed the drilling of its first new well at Kampung Minyak oil field.
After drilling for nine days to a depth of 470 meters through twelve layers of sandstone, with total sandstone thickness of 67 meters, the well at KM-600 encountered 24 meters of pay zone (oil-bearing sandstone layers), the company said in an operation update report.
At the same time, a second rig has started to drill the second infill production well on the KM-601 well site on October 23.
KM600 will be placed on production next week, targeting section S7 (the 17th to the 19th layer), after well perforation and the installation of oil extraction equipment.
Mirach Energy is partnering PT Daqing Jaya Petroleum Engineering Company, a unit under CNPC?s Daqing Oilfield Company, in the drilling of infill production wells in Kampung Minyak field.
