ASX-listed Kangaroo Resources Ltd said that expansion of the Senyiur Port through the addition of a second jetty on the Kedang Kepala River in East Kalimantan by IDX-listed coal miner PT Bayan Resources Tbk is on track for completion in the fourth quarter of this year.
Kangaroo said in a statement last week the expansion will increase the overall capacity of the Senyiur Port to 18 million tons per annum.
The Senyiur Port is located near Kangaroo?s 6 mtpa barge loading conveyor.
Kangaroo last year signed an agreement with Bayan on the shared use of the new infrastructure facilities at the latter?s Tabang mines including hauling road, which would provide access for the former?s Pakar coal concessions in Kutai Kertanegara Regency, East Kalimantan.
Kangaroo said that Bayan?s new 69km coal haul road from Tabang coal concession area to Senyiur Port location is fully operational providing first class access to seven of the Pakar coal concession areas.
