The 300 mmscfd gas volume distributed by Kangean Energy for customers in East Java will be partly used for the transportation sector to support the ongoing drive to make motorists to convert from petroleum-based fuel to gas, Bisnis Indonesia daily reported on Friday.
Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Jero Wacik told a press conference on Thursday that the gas from Kangean will start to flow today. For East Java the volume is 300 mmscfd, higher than volume needed for industries as it also includes gas for the transportation sector to support the program of conversion from petroleum-based fuel to gas.
