Kangean?s TSB gas production delayed to June

Upstream authority BPMIGAS said that the Terang, Sirasun and Batur (TSB) gas fields operated by Kangean Energy Indonesia (KEI) Ltd. will come on-stream in June this year, delayed from April as originally expected.

Deputy for operation of BPMIGAS Rudi Rubiandini told Petromindo.com that the reason for the delay is because the Floating Storage Offshore (FSO) Joko Tole is still being repaired in Sembawang Yard, Singapore.

He said the shipyard requires more working hours to repair the FSO as it has to replace some parts such as cable network. He said that KEI has reported the matter to BPMIGAS.

The FSO will produce about 300 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscfd) of gas, which would be supplied to gas buyers in East Java.
