Karimun Granite executive appointed as new Perhapi chairman

PT Karimun Granite senior executive Abdul Latief Baki was elected as the new chairman of the Indonesian Mining Experts Association or Perhapi for the period of 2000-2003.

Latief was appointed at Perhapi's fourth congress on Friday.

Latief said that one of his program was to help the government to improve the human resources in the mining sector in the region to help smooth the process of implementing regional autonomy in the sector. (R. Amoros)
