Karunia to increase share ownership in Harum Energy

PT Karunia Bara Perkasa will further purchase PT Harum Energy Tbk?s shares from the public in order to increase its investment in the coal mining company, Bisnis Indonesia reported on Wednesday.
Lawrance Barki, the son of Kiki Barki, the owner of Karunia Bara Perkasa, said in Jakarta on Tuesday that the company would further increase its ownership in Harum Energy from 70.25 percent or 1.9 billion shares at present.
?As long as it is still profitable, we will continue to buy Harum Energy?s shares from the public. We plan to buy more after the last transaction,? he said.
The last time Karunia Bara Perkasa bought Harum Energy shares was in April 3 when it purchased 500,000 shares from the public. Earlier on Jan. 16, it bought 2 million shares. On November 28, last year it bought 2.36 million shares.(*)
