Karya Pacific Shipping operates a new barge

Transhipping company PT Karya Pacific Shipping (KPS) has added up one unit to its fleet of barges this year.
Kahar Chua, Director of KPS told Petromindo.com on Tuesday that the new barge has the capacity of 8,000 ton.
?The new barge is already in operation now,? he said adding that barge is being operated to support the existing fleet servicing several contracts with several coal mining companies in Sumatera and Jambi.
Earlier, he said that the company has existing contracts with several coal mining company operating in Sumatra, such as Baramulti Sugih Sentosa, Bukit Asam and Sinar Mas.
The new barge brought its fleet to eight units. In 2012 the company only had 3 units in its fleet.
