Karya Putra Borneo to ramp up coal production in 2014

Coal mining firm PT Karya Putra Borneo, a subsidiary of coal mining group PT Oorja Indo KGS, plans to boost coal production in 2014 to 3.5 million tons from 3 million tons expected for this year from its two concessions in Batuah Village, and Petangis, East Kalimantan.
Gajendra Asalya, Finance Manager at Oorja Indo KGS told Petromindo.com recently that the company is planning to ramp up the production as it expected the coal market to recover next year.
So far the company exports 85 percent of its coal to India while the rest to China, Thailand and the Philippines.
