Kasih Industri orders 4 sets of tugs and barges

Halifax said the project should be completed within 24 months from the effective date of these contracts and subject to the terms and conditions.
Halifax said each set will consist of a 3500-BHP twin screw tug and a 300' x 80' x 16' deck cargo barge.
PT Kasih Industri, together with South Kalimantan based coal miner PT Senamas Energindo, has signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) with state electricity firm PLN to provide a combined 4.59 million tons of coal to PLN?s existing power plants and proposed power plant projects.
Under the LoI, the venture will supply about 783,000 tons of coal to the 3,400-MW Suralaya power plant in Banten. Meanwhile, the remaining volume of the LoI will go to PLN?s proposed power plant projects, which are scheduled to commence electricity production between 2009 and 2010. (Robert)
