KBR records $8m gain on Tangguh project close-out

Global engineering firm KBR recorded a pre-tax gain of US$8 million in the first quarter of 2011 on the close-out of participation in the Tangguh LNG Project.
The company said the gain was secured after KBR successfully negotiated the closeout of its participation in the Tangguh LNG project and signed agreements with its partner, JGC, to transfer its interest in the project joint venture.
The company did not give detail. (alex)
