KEI to receive FPSO vessel for Pagerungan oil field

Kangean Energy Indonesia (KEI), the operator of Kangean PSC, offshore East Java, will receive one floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel to be operated at its North Pagerungan oil field, the company?s official said.

VP Supply Chain Management Max B.Lani told Petromindo.Com on Thursday the so-called Brotojoyo FSPO vessel belongs to PT Berlian Laju Tanker (BLT). Currently, it is on its way to Indonesia from China.

The vessel is expected to arrive in Jakarta the second week of next month.

KEI is leasing the vessel under a 4-year contract, starting this year with contract value of US$70 million, he said.

The North Pagerungan field is expected to start first oil production by the end of November this year with oil flow of around 3,000-5,000 bpd, he added. (godang)
