Kepco acquires 20% stake at Bayan

South Korean utility firm Korea Electric Power Corp (KEPCO) will acquire a 20 percent stake Indonesia?s coal mining group PT Bayan Resources Tbk to secure coal supplies.
The Company said it would invest US$515 milion in Bayan Resources.
The investment will help the Company to secure 2 million tonnes of coal a year from 2012 and 7 million tonnes annually from 2015, it said. (denny)
