Keppel delivers Apexindo?s rig

Singapore firm Keppel Offshore & Marine said Friday it had delivered a newly built submersible drilling barge on time to PT Apexindo Pratama Duta Tbk.
?Yani Rig 104 sails off today (Friday) to join her sisters, Raissa and Maera 101 in the inshore Tunu field, Balikpapan in East Kalimantan for TotalFinaElf Indonesie,? Keppel said in a statement.
Keppel took about seven and a half months to complete the construction of the rig.
According to Keppel, the 226-feet drilling barge is a further enhancement of Maera 101 in terms of design arrangements. Yani rig is designed to have a drilling depth capability of 7,600 meter (25,000 ft).
Apexindo is a publicly listed drilling company. The company is 77.53 percent owned by oil and gas producer PT Medco Energi International Tbk. (robert)
