East Kalimantan coal miner PT Kideco Jaya Agung is delaying a coal supply deal with an Australian buyer to 1Q next year from earlier schedule of end of this year, an industrial source told Petromindo.Com.
Kideco has completed trial shipment, Kideco will sign a coal supply contract with a volume of 100,000-200,000 tonnes to Australia-listed firm Iluka Resources, the official said, adding that Iluka still needs time to adjust its power plant facilities to match the coal from Kideco.
Kideco's coal is ultra low sulphur content of around 0.1% with calorific value of 5,000-5,250 kcal/kg (ADB). Many end users burn Kideco coal blended with standard bituminous coal. (denny)
