Kideco bags coal supply contracts from ENEL, KOMIPO

East Kalimantan-based coal producer Kideco Jaya Agung said it had bagged a two million-ton coal supply contract to two electricity producers, Italian ENEL Corp and South Korean KOMIPO.

?Kideco will supply 500,000 tons annually to ENEL for a three-year period. We started the shipment early January,? Kideco's managing director Kim Sung Kook told Petromindo.Com on Thursday

Meanwhile, the first shipment to KOMIPO will come in February. ?KOMIPO has agreed to buy a total of 500,000 tons of coal for a one-year period,? Kim added.

Kideco, a subsidiary of Sam Tan Co. Ltd of South Korea, operates a coalmine in Pasir regency with production capacity of around 15 million tons annually. (alex)
