Kideco bags term coal supply contract to UK

East Kalimantan coal mining firm PT. Kideco Jaya Agung has clinched term contract to supply coal to UK based power plant operator EDF Energy, a company official said Tuesday.

The contract calls for 600,000 tons per annum supply for three years, starting December this year, said Kideco managing director Kim Sung Kook told Petromindo.Com.

Kim further said that Kideco is close to clinch deal to supply coal to South Korean electricity firm KEPCO. Kim declined to give detail for confidentiality reason, but saying that the deal, if clinched, would involve ?big? volume of coal over long period of time.(alex)
