Kideco eyeing 8.7 MT in Q2

East Kalimantan coal miner PT Kideco Jaya Agung is set to produce 8.7 million tons in the second quarter from its Batu Kajang site.
Kideco?s Director Binsar Marpaung said that his company recorded 8.1 million tons of coal in the first quarter 2012, compared to about 7.9 million tons in the same period of last year.
Kideco has targeted to produce up to 34 million tons of coal output this year from its last year's output of 32 million tons. The company expects to ramp-up production to 36 million tons in 2013.
The Batu Kajang site comprises of up to 50,000 hectares of concession area with proven reserves of 700 million tons. Kideco's coal has CV of between 4,600 and 4,800 kcal/kg.
