Kideco launches trial shipment of coal to Italy

East Kalimantan-based coal miner PT Kideco Jaya Agung said Tuesday it had launched the trial shipment of 210,000 tons coal to Italy early this month.
According to company, the products, transported by three Panamax carriers, were for Italy?s ENEL SpA.
?If the trial shipment turn out to be smooth, and are approved by ENEL, Kideco could sign long-term contracts with them,? Kideco?s managing director Kim Sung Kook told Petromindo.Com Tuesday.
Kideco, wholly owned by Sam Tan Co. Ltd of South Korea, is one of Indonesia?s top coal producers, operating a coalmine in Pasir Regency, East Kalimantan. (alex)
