Kideco on track to produce 24MT this year

IDX-listed coal mining and contractor PT Indika Energy said its East Kalimantan coal unit PT.Kideco Jaya Agung is on track to produce 24 million tonnes of coal this year.

Indika President M. Arsjad Rasjid told reporters on Wednesday that as per mid-June, Kideco has produced 12 million tonnes of coal.

Indika has 46 percent shares at Kideco, which is the country?s third largest coal mine

Kideco is planning to expand production capacity to 30MTPA from 24 MTPA currently.

Arsjad also told reporters that the company is not looking to buy majority shares of another East Kalimantan miner PT Berau Coal, which, according to reports are being put on sale. (kanti)
