Kideco produces 8.2 m tons of coal in January-October period

PT Kideco Jaya Agung?s coal production reached 8.2 million tons between January and Oct 17 of this year, compared with the whole year?s target of 9.5 million tons, according to its administrative manager Ali Patan.

The company expected to increase its production to 10.5 million tons next year, Ali told Petromindo.com on Thursday.

Ali said were aware of certain constraints which could hinder the fulfillment of those targets. They included the bad weather, and labor and tax problems, he said.

Kideco has planned to offer 37 percent of its shares this year, as required by the government.

The company is 100 percent owned by South Korea?s Sam Tan Co. Ltd, and presently operates a coalmine in Pasir district in South Kalimantan. (godang)
