Kideco?s coal output jumps in Q2

The company?s general affair manager Ali Patan told Petromindo.com in an interview that production increase in the second quarter was due to the absence of production disturbance and relatively good weather.
Last quarter, the company?s production activities were temporarily halted due to disputes with locals, labor strike and heavy rainfall.
Ali said production for April, May and June was 723,000 tons, 861,000 tons and 984,000 tons, respectively.
? For July, we expect to produce some 950,000 tons of coal?? said Ali.
Kideco targets to produce 9.5 million tons this year.
Kideco, which operates coal mine in Pasir regency, East Kalimantan, is wholly owned by Sam Tan Company Limited of South Korea
Kideco sells most of its coal to Korea, Taiwan, Slovenia, Japan and The Philippines. (alex)
