Coal miner PT Kideco Jaya Agung estimated its coal output during the first quarter of this year would reach 3.7 million tons or around 95 percent from its target.
?Kideco will miss production target mainly due to bad weather,? the company?s managing director Kim Sung Kook told Petromindo.Com Tuesday.
The company produced 2.97 million tons of coal in the fourth quarter of 2002. Meanwhile, its annually output reached 11.5 million tons last year.
Kim further said Kideco planned to produce around 12.5 million tons this year.
Kideco, wholly owned by Sam Tan Co.Ltd of South Korea, is one of Indonesia?s top coal producers, operating a coalmine in Pasir regency, East Kalimantan. (alex)
