East Kalimantan coal miner Kideco Jaya Agung expects smooth transition in its operations when its new mining contractor PT. Pamapersada Nusantara will replace Australia's Thiess Contactor in July.
Preparations are being made. Pamapersada has started mobilizing equipments to the mine, said Kideco's managing director Kim Sung Kook in an interview with Petromindo.Com recently.
Pamapersada, Indonesia is largest mining contractor will take over mining activities in Kideco from July 2003 on three-year contract basis.
Kim said the changing of mining contractor would not affect production target of 12.5 million tons the company set this year. (alex)
