Kideco starts first coal shipment to CEP

Kideco?s managing director CH Richard Lee told Petromindo.Com on Thursday that the first shipment has conducted in April 6 with quantity of 7,000 tonnes and followed by another one barge with capacity of 7,000 tonnes in April 8.
The coal is for ?test burning? in CEP?s power plant, he said.
In September last year, the power plant has been 90 percent completed and has entered commissioning stage.
CEP has 1.85 MTPA coal supply contract with Kideco and 1 MTPA with Adaro under long-term supply contracts. Beside the two main suppliers, CEP has also appointed four undisclosed suppliers to back-up supply, he said. Kideco will supply coal with CV of 4,400-4,999 Kcal/kg (GAR) with sulfur content of 0.19%, while Adaro will supply coal with CV of 4,400-5,200 kcal/kg (GAR) with sulfur content of 0.19%.
CEP was established in April, 2007. Japanese giant firm Marubeni, Korean firm Komipo, Indonesian firm PT Tripatra Engineering and Korean firm Samtan respectively own 32.5 percent, 27.5 percent, 20 percent and 20 percent of CEP. (denny)
