Kideco supplies 1.5MT to Indonesia Power

PT Indonesia Power (IP), a subsidiary of state electricity firm PT PLN (Persero) said that it has reached a coal price and volume deal for 2012 period with East Kalimantan coal miner PT Kideco Jaya Agung
Djoko Hastowo, President Director of IP, said that Kideco will supply around 1.5 million tonnes of coal to IP?s power plants during 2012, but he declined to disclose the price figure reached with Kideco.
IP has also reached agreements on coal prices with other coal miners, including with other East Kalimantan coal miners PT Berau Coal and PT Oktasan. Berau Coal will supply 2 million tonnes this year, he said.
According to Berau Coal statement last year Berau has a 10-year contract with IP to supply 3 million tonnes (?5%) per annum of coal, starting Jan 2008.
