Kidnapping victim in Aceh freed by police: Medco

British Malcolm Primrose, 62, PT Medco E&P Indonesia's sub-contractor kidnapped Tuesday by a group of armed people, has been freed by the police and is now safe.
"I got news that at 8 am today, the kidnapping victim named Malcolm has been freed from the kidnappers," said Senior Manager for External Relations dan Communications Affandi Djaafar to Petromindo.com.
"But we're still awaiting for official announcement by the police about the details of the rescue operation."
As reported earlier, Primrose was forcefully taken out of his car near Blok A operation area, Peurelak, East Aceh.
He is now safe at the hands of the police, Affandi said.
Medco E&P is the operator of the block with a participating interest of 41.67 percent, with partners Premier Oil (41.67 percent) and Japex (16.66 percent).
