Killara appoints new executive director for Indonesia

ASX-listed mining firm Killara Resources announced on Thursday the appointment of Wim Zulkarnaen as an Executive Director - previously a Non-Executive director - of Killara effective on Thursday.

Wim is an integral part of the management team of Killara and will oversee the Jakarta operations. Wim holds an MBA from RVB/ MSM Holland and has about 30 years of extensive hands-on management experience in investment finance, banking and agribusiness. Wim is the founder and President Director of BBIP Palm Group, and also the Founder and Managing Shareholder of several other companies including PT Agri Capital Resources Group, PT Bailangu Capital, PT IES Nusantara, PT Tempirai Energy Resources and PT Kikim Resources.

Previously Wim held senior executive positions at: Solegna Investments BV (Holland) ? (2006 ? 2008) as CEO/President Director of PT Multrada Multi Maju, PT Padang Bolak Jaya, PT Trimitra Sumberperkasa and PT Perjapin Prima; Austindo Nusantara Jaya (ANJ) Group, (2001 ? 2005) as CEO; CDC Capital Partners/CDC Group plc (1991 ? 2001) as Commercial Director & President Director Pacific Rim Indonesia; ORIX Indonesia Finance (1985-1990) as General Manager.

Wim is also a director of WIZ Investments Pty Ltd and currently Killara?s largest shareholder holding 19.17 percent of the issued capital.

Killara has direct interest in a coal producer, PT Borneo Emas Hitam located in East Kalimantan and PT Pagun Taka in Central Kalimantan. It also has an option to acquire a direct interest in a coal concession in Central Kalimantan owned by PT Pagun Taka.
