The Kima industrial zone in Makassar, Southeast Sulawesi, plans to build 35 MW power plant this year to ensure electricity supply for industries in the area, Bisnis Indonesia reported Thursday.
Kima President Director Bachder Djohan said that the company plans to team up with Japan?s Kawasaki to build the Rp 680 billion power plant, which is expected to use coal as fuel.
?The power plant will supply electricity to the industrial zone so that it would no longer depend on (state utility) PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara,? he said. (*)
