A company official told Petromindo.Com on Friday that until end of November 2008, the company only managed to produce 410,000 tonnes of coal, all of which was exported to South Korea.
Last year the company produced around 1 million tonnes of coal.
The official said that the decrease was due to bad weather condition in the mine and management changes.
The official said the company would target to produce 1 million tonnes in 2009. The company had ordered heavy equipments addition and had added a mine contractor, he said.
The company produces coal with CV of 6,000 Kcal/kg (ADB).
Kimco operates a coal mine in Tenggarong Seberang, Kutai Kartanegara regency with concession area of 4,000 ha. It started production in 2006 (denny)
